Bridgewater Savings announced that its Charitable Foundation has made a donation of $5,200 to EB HOPE.
Raynham, MASSACHUSETTS, March 28, 2017- EB HOPE is a non-profit, grassroots community solution whose mission includes Help, Outreach, Prevention, and Education on substance abuse issues. The EB HOPE Outreach Drop-In Center is a safe, judgment free place for individuals and families suffering from the effects of a substance use disorder to gain knowledge, assistance, and peer support. The funds from the donation will be used to purchase technology to help the Outreach Program and the Recovery Coach Initiatives.
“A staggering number of people in our communities are suffering from substance use disorder,” said Peter Dello Russo, Bridgewater Savings President and CEO. “The work that Susan Silva, EB HOPE President and Executive Director, and the East Bridgewater Police Department provide is priceless to those in need. We at Bridgewater Savings strive to help our communities by supporting programs such as this that help those suffering from opioid addiction and their families and friends that share their burden.”

EB HOPE’s Drop-In Center opened its doors in November of 2015 and since then has evolved, taking on a regional approach, helping persons suffering from Substance Use Disorders (SUDs), as well as providing help resources to help family members and loved ones of those suffering from SUDs. To date, nearly 600 people have visited the Drop-In Center with 170 or more SUDs individuals being assisted to date. The Plymouth Project Outreach has also opened a sister Drop-In Center operating similarly in the weeks opposite of EB HOPE’s schedule. Both organizations are working together to develop a county wide Outreach model that is being expanded so that all 27 Plymouth County communities and their coalition partners are working in concert with one another.
