The EB HOPE initiated Substance Abuse Outreach and Intervention Drop-In Center strives to proactively provide a gateway to professional resources for persons with SUDs (Substance Use Disorders) and friends and/or family members of persons with SUDs. This program also sets the goal to inform the community at-large as to the severity of the Opioid epidemic that we are presently confronted with and that this community, grass-roots organization is attempting to bring the availability of professional medical services to the “at risk” community members and their family.
A MOTHER'S HEART - MY STORY
I am the mother of an addict, who had to come to the place where I understood that I was enabling, and with that news firmly stuck in my heart, I began the process of letting go of my prodigal and letting God do what He had to do.
It is in that process I created my blog and started EB HOPE. Walking through this journey as the parent of an addict I needed an outlet for my thoughts, feelings and experiences. Although much of our journey’s as parents of addicts will look alike, we will each find our way down the road using different helps.
For me, my faith in God and my walk with Him is what has carried me thus far. You will find Him in each of my blog posts. He has carried me, strengthened me, and has taught me endurance and given me Hope.
RECOVERY ANGELS at EB HOPE
Compassion. Understanding. Empathy.
That’s what you’ll receive from EB HOPE’s Recovery Angels. Recovery Angels understand the plight of those with addiction, substance use disorder, and alcoholism, they have been there. Recovery Angels are there to guide the client through the many resources available with the understanding that comes from having lived through similar experiences.
Our Angels provide HOPE that there is a way out, because they, themselves, have found recovery through the generous support available at EB HOPE.
EB Hope always has Rcovery Angels on hand to help the addict or family member who comes through the door. You never have to go it alone!
